Flowers grouped in upright, pyramidal racemes, white and spotted with pink and red at the base. Prickly fruit, which contain one or two shiny brown seeds. This plant is ideal for countries in North Europe or for the cool mountain valleys of Italy. It adapts to various types of soil except if too compact at the surface.
